Computerized Point of Sale System

Each student has an exclusive, individual student identification number issued by the RSU 1 Foodservice Department. Every serving line has a computer and a foodservice cashier records student purchases. All students use the same system so the anonymity of students receiving free or reduced price meal benefits is protected. Computer print outs of a students meal activity are available upon request.

Money may be paid into a student account in advance via the web at mynutrikids.com or by cash or check at the school.

How Are Menus Planned?

RSU 1 meals are planned by the FoodService Director to reflect the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and student preferences. He uses USDA approved software called Nutrikids to assist in menu planning and to ensure that menus meet the required nutrient standards.
